Katoen Natie’s business unit Commodity Feed Food handles a wide range of products at its logistics sites: industrial commodity, soft commodity and feed food ingredients. To support this fast-growing business unit, Katoen Natie is looking for a Key Account Manager.
Business line “Industrial Commodity”: steel, metals, forest products, packaging materials, renewable energy, consolidation cargo … etc;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty;
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing key accounts;
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs;
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities;
- Prepare and present regular reports on account status, sales performance, and market insights;
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit margins and ensure long-term partnerships;
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to resolve any issues or concerns promptly;
- Build-up customer intimacy.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in economics;
- Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar role within the logistics industry;
- Experience in industrial commodity is a plus;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Proficiency in English and Dutch. French is a plus;
- Commercially driven personality with a pit-bull mentality.
